SIMMS Express Inventory Software introduces unit of measure features that provides robust functionality at a fraction of the cost of competing inventory control products

The unit of measure feature in SIMMS Express Inventory Software provides the means to:

  • Define unlimited units of measure such as "Each", "Case", "mm", "cm", "oz", etc.

  • Use our simple unit factor field to assign the conversion factor between units of measure. For example, the assignment is as easy as selecting a meter and millimeter and assigning a 1000 conversion factor (1m = 1000mm) and assigning that conversion factor to a specific item, each item can have a unique conversion factor.

  • Define a Standard unit of measure.

  • Define a Sales unit of measure.

  • Define a Purchase unit of measure.

  • Select the unit of measure you would like to sell an item in during a sale or when creating a purchase order and the conversion will automatically take place behind the scenes to reflect the unit of measure in which you normally stock the item.

  • Buy in one unit of measure, stock in another unit of measure and sell in a third different unit of measure without having to worry about any of the calculations.

Define unique unit of measurement relationships per item. For example, you can configure Widget 123 to define a box as containing 12 eaches as well as configure Widget ABC to define a box as containing 24 eaches.

Assign a purchasing unit of measurement and a different sales unit of measurement.
